Visit Frederick is seeking a local artist to design a 5” x 8” beer can label that captures the spirit of Frederick City & County, Maryland. This design will be featured as part of an upcoming partnership with Monocacy Brewing Company. The artwork should complement the season in which the beer will be released (early spring).
Frederick offers a unique blend of history, culture, and outdoor adventure. From Civil War heritage and iconic church spires to vibrant Main Streets, scenic cycling routes, farmland, and recreation along the Potomac River and Catoctin Mountains. The selected design should reflect Frederick as a premier destination for both visitors and locals through a compelling visual story.
Artists are encouraged to incorporate symbolic elements that represent Frederick, including but not limited to:
Black-Crowned Night Heron (City Bird)
Historic church spires
Covered bridges
Kayaking on the Potomac River
Cycling on the C&O Canal
Agriculture and rural landscapes
The arts
The organization's brand guidelines and details about the beer will be provided as a reference after the artist is chosen.
You must have the ability to scan finished artwork, if not producing digital art, and provide a digital final proof.
